Hi, I’m Jess! I’ve been working in veterinary reception for over three years, and I absolutely love being part of a team that helps care for your animals. One of the best parts of my job is getting to know you and your pets — I’ll always do my best to make your visit as smooth and welcoming as possible. At home, I have two rescue pets who mean the world to me: Olive, a black crazy Labrador we adopted from Last Chance Rescue in Kent, and Phoebe, a cheeky tuxedo cat who keeps us all entertained. My love for animals is what brought me into this role, and I’m always keen to keep learning and growing in the field. By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
