Becs joined our Swayne & Partners team, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for teaching. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and holds a certificate in feline nursing, which is where her passion lies. Becs is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and helping train the next generation of veterinary nurses – especially in creating feline-friendly practices.

By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
