Hi I am Kate McLoughlin, I am a member of the Client Care Team based in the Feltham Branch. I have always been passionate about working with animals and enjoy my role immensely. I worked as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant over 20 years ago and set up a Dog Training and Dog Walking Business before I joined Willett House. During Covid I also volunteered for a Romanian Dog and Cat Rescue carrying out online home checks for potential adopters. I am developing my skills within my job by starting the Animal Nursing Assistant course as I particularly enjoying helping with the more clinical side of things. Outside of work I enjoy going on walks with my children and our 2 family dogs, I enjoy meals out and watching true crime documentaries.

By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
