Kylie, BVSc MRCVS

Head Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from the University of Melbourne, Kylie worked in semi-rural Australia for several years before her passion for travel brought her to the UK in 2008. She spent time locuming across the country before settling into the British way of life and later joined Ewell Vets, where her skill, experience, and dedication have been key in helping the practice grow. Kylie brings a wealth of clinical expertise and is highly regarded by clients for her thorough approach and compassionate care. She has a particular interest in rehabilitation medicine, including the use of acupuncture to manage chronic conditions such as arthritis, as well as surgery and animal behaviour. Her professionalism and high standard of care have earned her a loyal following and made her an invaluable member of the team. Outside of work, Kylie shares her life with three Australian Cattle Dogs and enjoys canicross, stockdog training, and agility. She also loves running, hiking, and reading in her spare time.

By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
