Nikki graduated from the University of Surrey in 2021 and now works as one of our night vets, alongside studying to become an Advanced Practitioner in Emergency Critical Care. She loves surgery and all patients big or small. At home, she’s kept busy with her two mastiff crosses and sphynx cats.

By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
