Rachel first joined Ewell Vets in 2015 during a school-arranged work experience placement, where she impressed the team so much that she was offered an evening position assisting the nurses. After finishing school in 2017, her passion and determination to pursue a career in animal care led her to join the team full-time. Rachel qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2022. Known for her calm and gentle nature, she has a wonderful way with animals and they love her just as much as she loves them.

By law, pets receiving prescription medication must be seen by a vet at least every six months for a check-up and review. Some pets with more serious conditions may benefit from reviews more frequently. If your pet has not had a review within this time, we may ask you and your pet to come in for an appointment before we can dispense further medication.

For prescription flea, tick & worm treatment, your pet only needs to be seen by a vet every twelve months. However, a recent change in the law means that this treatment must be specifically authorised by a vet on your pet's medical record at the time they see your pet. If you have not discussed flea, tick & worm treatment recently with a vet, your pet may need to come in for an additional check-up and review.
