Meet Our Team
Rachel BVetMed Cert AVP MRCVS
Clinical Director & Veterinary Surgeon

Rachel, Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon, brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to the team. She has enjoyed a colourful and varied clinical career, and her mission is simple: to make every animal feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Rachel has a particular interest in internal medicine and cardiology, describing it as “solving little mysteries to keep our furry friends happy and healthy”.
Emily MA VetMB MRCVS
Clinical Director & Veterinary Surgeon

Emily qualified as a vet in 2015 and has been working in small animal practice ever since. She loves all parts of the job, especially surgery, but what she enjoys most is getting to know our clients and their pets – and helping them stay happy and healthy. Emily lives locally with her young family and a collection of pets. She’s originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, but after 16 years here, her Geordie accent is nearly gone!
Kelly RVN CertVNECC NCert(AnaesthNsg)
Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Kelly, our Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, is spaniel-mad and thrives under pressure. She’s always ready to dive in when things go sideways, embracing the chaos and solving problems with a calm head and a can-do attitude. Kelly is happiest when facing a challenge and making a real difference to the animals in her care.
Fiona MA VetMB MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

Fiona spent the first 12 years of her career working with horses around Newmarket – a true dream for any horse lover! She later made the switch to small animal practice at Swayne & Partners and hasn’t looked back. Fiona enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, but her favourite part of the job is meeting wonderful clients and their adorable pets.
Monisha BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

Monisha is one of our newer vets at Swayne & Partners, and she’s already making a big impact! She has a real passion for behaviour work – especially helping pets build good habits from a young age. She loves working closely with clients to build understanding and confidence, and there’s nothing better than seeing happy, well-adjusted puppies and kittens thrive. Monisha’s all about prevention, education, and setting pets (and their people) up for success.
Samantha DipVN RVN CertNCS (RVN Cons)
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Samantha began her journey at Swayne & Partners with some work experience in 2012 – and it quickly turned into her dream career. Now a Registered Veterinary Nurse, she particularly enjoys performing minor procedures, delivering compassionate patient care, and running nursing consults. Samantha loves making a meaningful difference in the lives of both pets and their owners.
Jenna RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Jenna grew up on a farm and has been passionate about animals from a young age. She spent her early years watching animal programmes and gaining experience in veterinary practices, eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible. Now a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Jenna loves supporting patients throughout their entire day – from arrival to discharge – and finds it incredibly rewarding.
Jessica RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Jessica began her veterinary nursing career at Swayne & Partners in 2025 and is thoroughly enjoying the start of her journey. She’s soaking up as much knowledge as possible and especially enjoys hands-on patient care in the hospital and nursing consults. Passionate about making a difference, Jessica is eager to develop her skills further – particularly in physiotherapy – to provide even better care for her patients.
Kayla RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Kayla, a Registered Veterinary Nurse, grew up in a small town just outside Dublin and later moved to Cambridge to pursue her passion for veterinary nursing. She finds caring for sick and recovering animals hugely rewarding, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comforted every step of the way. Kayla also enjoys getting hands-on with imaging and lab work – uncovering new insights to help patients get back on their paws is one of the highlights of her role.
Zoe
Student Veterinary Nurse

Zoe began her journey with us on reception in 2021 and quickly found her calling in veterinary nursing. Now training as a Student Veterinary Nurse, she’s due to qualify next year and is already making a fantastic impact. Zoe especially loves caring for nervous or anxious pets – helping turn their visits into positive, reassuring experiences. She’s passionate about making a difference for every patient she meets.
Karen
Client Support Administrator

Karen joined Swayne & Partners in 2022 as a Client Support Administrator (CSA) and is new to the veterinary profession. She loves being part of a close-knit, supportive team and is continually inspired by the high standards of care delivered across the practice. At home, Karen has an adorable indoor rabbit named Bluey, and she enjoys making a difference through her work each day.
Claire
Client Support Administrator

Claire joined Swayne & Partners in 2024 following a career change after 30 years as a dance teacher working with children. Although she originally aspired to work in the veterinary field, life took her in a different direction – until now! Claire is thoroughly enjoying her new role as a Client Support Administrator and is embracing the opportunity to learn new skills in this exciting chapter of her life.
